How it works?
kilowant is an AI Agent that reduces your electricity bill by lowering the cost of your supply service, without disruption to your utility billing. Simply click the Green START button to upload an image or photo of your electric bill and our proprietary Nonstop Shop ® AI model will search the market for supply price plans that will save you money compared to your utility or community energy alternatives. kilowant affords you the option to accept savings offers either manually or autonomously on a year round basis, assuming the shopping process for you. All participating energy suppliers are state licensed, their agreements are vetted by kilowant, and their price plans are fixed-price and fixed-term to prevent any post-term price changes. Yes. kilowant is only available in (deregulated) states which by law afford the consumer with choice of energy supplier. kilowant is simply the technology (not a supplier or broker) that facilitates that choice and in no way impacts the utility's exclusive legal right to distribute that power supply to you.How does switching my energy supplier impact my utility service and billing?
There is no change to your utility service or billing process. Your utility will continue to distribute your energy supply, bill you, and service you as they do now. Switching your supplier is simply a contractual assignment of a new supplier and supply rate to your utility account for a defined term.How and when will I be billed for energy supply purchased through kilowant?
The utility will continue to bill you monthly under the Supplier Services section of your bill, which will reference your new rate and supplier. The contract rate you select through kilowant will take effect on the first meter read on or after the service start date identified in your offer details.Who notifies the utility of my new supply rate?
The selected supplier will notify the utility of your new rate plan in advance of the service start date; what is referred to as enrollment.Is my supply rate subject to change?
The rate shown in your contract offer is fixed for the term selected unless the utility, its regulatory agency, or government mandates a change in law. These changes are rare, and would apply to your energy supply rate regardless of provider whether that provider be the utility or other third party.Are there any fees or surcharges?
No. kilowant offers are inclusive of all fees for the term selected. Suppliers pay a license fee to kilowant for use our AI, not consumers.What happens if I cancel my rate plan?
If you cancel your rate plan after it takes effect, it's up to the supplier to either waive or assess an early termination penalty because the supplier will be left with energy that you have not used or paid for. Please reference the seller's Sales Agreement for conditions.Will I be reminded to select a new rate plan prior to expiration?
kilowant will notify you whenever there are future savings opportunities throughout the term of your contract (eg. savings vs. your contract rate and/or future utility rates). Additionally, kilowant will notify you via email 90, 60, and 30 days prior to expiration with a suggested offer for your next term.What happens when my rate plan expires?
If you do not select a future offer, your supply service will be returned to your utility's Default/Last Resort supply rate. kilowant will continue to email you reminders about your contract expiration as well as savings opportunity.
