• Is kilowant allowed by my utility?

  Yes. kilowant is only available in (deregulated) states which by law afford the consumer with choice of energy supplier. kilowant is simply the technology (not a supplier or broker) that facilitates that choice and in no way impacts the utility's exclusive legal right to distribute that power supply to you.

• How does switching my energy supplier impact my utility service and billing?

  There is no change to your utility service or billing process. Your utility will continue to distribute your energy supply, bill you, and service you as they do now. Switching your supplier is simply a contractual assignment of a new supplier and supply rate to your utility account for a defined term.

• How and when will I be billed for energy supply purchased through kilowant?

  The utility will continue to bill you monthly under the Supplier Services section of your bill, which will reference your new rate and supplier. The contract rate you select through kilowant will take effect on the first meter read on or after the service start date identified in your offer details.
